DRAKE MEN'S SOCCER TEAM WINS TO GO TO THE SWEET 16 OF NCAA NATIONAL TOURNAMENT

Drake's men's soccer team will play Boston College in Boston after defeating 4th seeded Ohio State on Sunday, Nov. 22. Their game will be Sunday afternoon, Nov. 29th.

DRAKE MEN'S SOCCER TEAM WINS THE MISSOURI VALLEY CONFERENCE TITLE

Joe is assistant coach to the Drake team. He is on the middle right side of the picture . They won 2-1 over Evanston to win the Missouri Valley Comference title.

EARLY OCTOBER TRIP TO MONTANA WAS SNOWY

Ralph and I had a great trip to Montana in early October to see Tim and Diane but it was more winter than fall. It was snowy and cold most of the time but really beautiful. We made a fast day trip to Yellowstone National Park. It was a winter wonderland with the snow. We saw elk, buffalo and antelope in and outside the park. Diane and Ralph on the way to dinner at a local saloon in Red Lodge and it was 13 degrees.

Diane and Tim in front of a Yellowstone coach at the Buffalo Bill Historic Center in Cody, Wyoming. We took a day trip to see the wonderful exhibits and art there.

It was a great trip even if a bit cold. We enjoyed seeing the sights with Tim and Diane as our guides.

ENJOYED BIG RIVER

Went with some women and girls of the family to see "Big River" at the Off Center Theater in Crown Center. It was excellent and presented in a narrative form of a radio show but still very nicely done with great voices.

KATHY'S STAFF GAVE HER A SHOWER

Kathy's school staff where she is assistant principal gave her a very cute shower in the school library. They dressed Kathy for the occasion and fun was had by all.


Groups of teachers competed to make the best bridal veil made of tissue paper, tape, and some jewels and flowers attached! Very clever.
Great refreshments were served with wonderful cake and a punch fountain.

BBQ AND COUPLES SHOWER

Grant and Kathy had a "Stock the Bar" shower and BBQ then some friends went to Royals game.

Grant is growing a beard until the wedding day! Fun time had by all. It was a great night for a ball game but the Royals lost. The renovations at the stadium were fantastic.

KATHY'S TEA PARY SHOWER

Wonderful baskets of goodies for a theme shower. Salad theme for this basket.

Michelle (far right) gave the tea party and luncheon for Kathy in an Antique Mall in a local historic church.

DIANE INDUCTED INTO LSHS HALL OF FAME

Diane was inducted into the LSHS Hall of Fame this weekend. Here she is standing next to her 1992 senior picture! Diane, Joe and Kathy together for the weekend festivities. A banquet was given for the Hall of Fame recipients.

Family and friends were in attendance to celebrate Diane's induction.

KATHY'S FIRST SHOWER

Kathy's first shower was given by Susie's sisters and friends. It was a wonderful luncheon and get-together with friends that have gotten to know Kathy since she has been going with Grant. Kathy was happy that her sister Diane was able to attend from Montana.

A beautiful lunch was provided by Lisa, Merilee, Susie, Kathy and Beth. Lovely tables were decorated in yellow and green. Kathy and Grant got wonderful things for their new home.
