We went to Denver for a few days to see Diane while she was working there on a case. We had a great time and enjoyed seeing her. We got there on Sunday after visiting Ralph's brother on Saturday. He was recuperating in the hospital in Beloit after falling and dislocating his shoulder. He seems to be on the mend but may have to have some rehab.
We got to Denver and had dinner with Diane at Landry's, a well-known and wonderful seafood restaurant. Weather was rainy on Monday and Di had to work, so Ralph and I went to Central City and visited a few casinos there. He had better luck than I did but we had a nice day. It was warmer and clearer there than in Denver. That night we ate at a great Italian restaurant, Maggiano's Little Italy, which was right across the street from our motel.
On Tuesday we went with Diane to Estes Park, CO for a day out. It was cut short when Diane's case had new developments that made it necessary for her to return to work. But we had a great trip there on a scenic route and returned through the Big Thompson Canyon. It was a great drive. Ralph and I had dinner at Tres Margarita's, a great Mexican restaurant that night and Diane was able to see us later and eat our left-overs after work. Her case pretty much wrapped up now and she will be able to return home this weekend. We are home now. It was a quick trip but we enjoyed our time away.
