I just got home from Alabama on wonderful (NOT) NW airlines.
Home after one crazy ride. I went with two college friends, Jennifer and Sally, to see another college friend.
We did not leave Huntsville until 5:15 (hour and half late) and there were two major areas of turbulence. At one point just as the stewardess was trying to serve drinks, we fell like a rock and the drinks hit the ceiling and the contents rained down on the people below. She had just gotten to our row but Jennifer and I didn't get drinks because we had had a big drink while waiting for the flight to leave. She was about to ask Sally who was across the aisle what she wanted when the stewardess went flying but she got to a seat and strapped herself in. That was the end of drink service. We got a little liquid on us but the people in front of us were soaked. Of course it was a small commuter plane and the air conditioner wasn't working right either. The captain never even came on the speaker after. Very scary! We were just glad to get to Memphis. The leg to KC, thank goodness, was uneventful. We had drinks WITH ALCOHOL on that flight!
